The Trust does support multi-year awards in some instances, this is at the discretion of the Trustees.
The Trust only supports charities which benefit people living in Scotland.
Trustees meet quarterly with meetings held in March, June, September and December.
The cut off date for applications is two weeks prior to the next meeting date. If an application is received after the cut off date this will be put forward for consideration at the next meeting.
If you have received funding, and due to the Trust’s two-year time barred rule, you are not eligible to reapply for two years from that date.
Funds are awarded at the Trustees discretion, there are no set minimum/maximum amounts in place.
The Trust is willing to consider supporting core costs for charities whose main focus is aligned with our charitable objectives.
The Trust does support capital builds in some instances at the discretion of the Trustees.
The funding themes we support are culture, medical research, medical care, community support and animals.
If your application has been successful you will hear within a week of the Trustee meeting.
If you have been unsuccessful at the Trustee meeting, this will be communicated to you via our Trust Administrator within a week of the meeting.
If you are a charity which benefits people living in Scotland but do not fall within the main themes of support you can still apply. Awards are made at the Trustees’ discretion.
Due to the Trust’s two-year time barred rule, once you have received funding you are not eligible to reapply for further funds for two years from that date.
The latest set of signed financial statements are required to be uploaded as part of the application process.
If we require you to provide an update/progress report we will specify this in your award letter.
If we require any underspent funds to be refunded to the Trust we will specify this in your award letter.
